The City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Bureau of Engineering has embarked on a planning process to reduce the adverse impacts of flood hazards. This effort is being implemented through the Community Rating System (CRS) and will result in an adopted, approved Comprehensive Floodplain Management Plan and Repetitive Loss Areas Analysis. It is also an essential component in maintaining reduced flood insurance rates through the National Flood Insurance Program.
This planning process for this effort is being overseen by a Steering Committee made up of stakeholders from within the planning area. The Steering Committee and planning team are seeking input from the residents of Los Angeles on local knowledge of and information on flood related hazards. The information that residents provide will help coordinate activities to help reduce the future flood risk within the City.
This survey contains several questions and a space for additional comments at the end. It will take approximately 5-15 minutes to complete.
