LA CityView Channel 35 Receives Emmy Nomination and Win

The Television Academy announced 155 nominations in 47 categories for the 70th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, on June 12, 2018 and the City of Los Angeles'  LA CityView Channel 35 team was honored to receive one nomination and one win!

"Making Music, Making Friends" won an Emmy in the Children/Youth Programming category.  Executive Produced by Larry Newman and Produced by Tyler Newman, Making Music, Making Friends highlights the next generation of musical talent from LA, this short, feel-good documentary follows the musical careers of elementary school students in LA City schools. 

"911, When Not to Call" was nominated in the Public Service Announcement category. Produced by Robert Manciero and photographed by Al Magallon, When Not to Call 911 shows that more than half of the 911 calls made in many cities have nothing to do with life or death.  When Not to Call 911 educates the public on when not to use 911. 

Congratulations to Robert Manciero, Al Magallon, Larry Newman, Tyler Newman for their production achievements and to the Channel 35 staff for their support.

The Los Angeles Area Emmys will be presented Saturday evening, July 28, 2018 at the Television Academy's Saban Media Center. More information about the Emmy Award nominations below.
