Welcome to the Los Angeles Wi-Fi Community Network in Van Nuys…the first free Wireless Internet Access District in the City.

From here you can access information and web based services provided by City Departments at the Marvin Braude Van Nuys Constituent Service Center, and general City of Los Angeles information. You can also use this service to access the Internet.

This free service is being provided as a pilot project for a limited time. The purpose of this project is to test community interest, potential wireless applications and services, technology solutions and evaluate other issues related to wireless network deployment within the City of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Wi-Fi Community Network is a multi-agency effort developed through a partnership with Aiirmesh Communications, FiberQuest, and the City of Los Angeles Information Technology Agency (ITA). Other participating City agencies include the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Bureau of Street Lighting, and the General Services Department.

We hope you will find this service useful for access information and services on the web. If you have comments or questions about this service, we want to hear from you.
