Description
The City Hall Docents are hosts and ambassadors for the City of Los Angeles. As ambassadors for the City of Los Angeles some of their duties include serving as registration agents, greeters, and helping with the distribution of materials at City sponsored events. As hosts for the City of Los Angeles their main function is conducting tours of City Hall, and staffing the Information Services Desk located on the 3rd floor of City Hall. The tours of City Hall include the Mayor's gifts that have been presented to him by fellow dignitaries and Sister Cities, it also includes a brief history of the building, the Rotunda area, City Council Chambers, and the Hall of Mayors on the 26th Floor. Tours usually last about 35-40 minutes and the Docents are available M-F 9a-12p. Reservations are required for a formal tour, self-guided tour materials are available upon request.
