Recycling is made easier when buildings are designed to accommodate a successful recycling program.  The following documents offer guidance in determining the minimum square footage for your multifamily residential property.

Program staff are available to provide examples of how the recycling program has been implemented in buildings of various sizes.  With this additional knowledge, architects can promote design features that make recycling easier for residents.

NOTE: Multifamily Residential Recycling Program staff are unable to offer technical assistance with plan review.   Construction plans are solely reviewed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
