The City has completed an audit of our biosolids EMS program. The re-verification audit was performed on August 12-15, 2008, by the independent audit firm, KEMA-Registered Quality Inc. The auditors verified that the City’s biosolids program meets the requirements of National Biosolids Partnership (NBP) EMS program and recommended continued certification in the NBP EMS program at the Platinum Level status. Introduction

The City has established several standards to ensure that its biosolids management program is meeting and exceeding regulatory requirements and conforming to best management practices. The City has to comply with all applicable federal, state and local regulations regarding biosolids production and use. Since the City began its biosolids beneficial use program in 1989, we have been in compliance with all enforceable federal, state, and local regulations. The City has an extensive biosolids monitoring program in place to help us maintain compliance. To date, no noncompliances or notice of violations have been issued to the City related to biosolids management.
