Did You Know?

  • Free Mulch is available from multiple locations to all Los Angeles Residents through the Bureau of Sanitation's Free Mulch Give-Away Program.
  • Many sewage overflows into the environment are caused by fats, oil and grease (FOG) that build up in the sewer lines and restrict flow.  FOG also interferes with sewage pumping stations and results in increased maintenance costs.  To reduce sewage overflows, the Bureau of Sanitation has a program aimed at reducing FOG discharge. Learn more about this program.
