The City of Los Angeles offers a children bicycle safety program. Safe Moves, a non-profit organization, to provide bicycle safety education to elementary and middle school children. They can be reached at (818)786-4614.


Maintenance for City of Los Angeles Bicycle Paths is provided by the Department of Recreation and Parks and Department of Transportation. Maintenance of City streets is the responsibility of the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Street Services


Directs and facilitates the design and construction of on-street and off-street bikeways. Provides bike route information, including bike route maps. Coordinates maintenance of off-street bikeways.


The Los Angeles Department of Transportation publishes three Bicycle Maps for the City of Los Angeles. Each of the three Bicycle Maps covers a separate geographic area of the City.
