Community Dining Centers

Provider: Department of Aging

Categories: Health & Human Services: For Seniors

Description
Seniors are served nutritious hot meals five days a week through the Citys Senior Lunch Program. More than 3,500 meals are served daily at 90 community dining centers in the city. Donations are requested, but no one is turned away. These community dining centers offer seniors an opportunity to socialize and participate in educational and cultural activities in their own communities. Transportation to and from the community dining centers may also be available at some locations. The Home-Delivered Meals program provides one hot, nutritious meal daily, five days a week, to participating homebound seniors who, because of physical or mental disability, are unable to attend a community dining center. Please contact the Department of Aging for the nearest dining center in your area at (800) 510-2020.
