LAFD Historical Society is a non-profit organization managed by a special group of active and retired firefighters, individuals, families, children and charitable organizations. LAFDHS is working to preserve the history of the department and opened two public museums that houses restored apparatus, community artifacts, photos of major fires & incidents, fire helmets from around the world, badges, models, documents and much more. The organization relies on donations and corporate gifts.
