For new customers serviced by the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation or customers moving out of their residence, we recognize extra refuse may be generated. We provide a Move-In/Move-Out service mainly for boxes or bags filled with rubbish, as well as flattened cardboard. Bags and/or boxes should weigh no more than 30 pounds each. Boxes should be kept away from water. Box dimensions should be no larger than 2 feet by 3 feet. Flattened cardboard should be tied in bundles with the maximum dimensions of 2 feet by 3 feet and weighing no more than 30 pounds each. To schedule collection, please call 1-800-773-2489, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., at least one day before your regular scheduled collection day. Please have the quantity of bags, boxes, and bundles available when placing the call. Move-In/Move-Out request can also be submitted by clicking on the Service Web Site indicated below. E-mail request require two days for processing.
