Manual Trash Collection is provided to customers serviced by the Bureau of Sanitation when their containers are missing or badly damaged and no longer usable. Since the customer does not have the container or could not use the broken container, they could place the materials in bags or boxes. Customers are limited to disposing up to 4 bags or 4 boxes (weighing no more than 30 lbs. each) as a temporary arrangement until the Bureau of Sanitation can deliver/replace their container. To make arrangements to have the bags or boxes collected from your curbside, please call us at 1-800-773-2489, from Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., at least two days before your collection day. You could also send us your request for manual collection by clicking on the Service Web Site indicated below. Fill out and submit the Service Request form. Under Step 4, fill out the Move In/Move Out section and indicate how many bags or boxes you have. The Service Request form takes two days to be processed.
