The Senior Citizen Nutrition Program serves hot, well balanced meals five days a week in congregate dining Centers. The Los Angeles City Department of Recreation and Parks provides hot, home delivered meals to low income "shut-in" senior citizens who cannot afford to contribute the "suggested" contribution. The seniors served are those living alone, too old, frail, or sick to prepare adequate meals. It is the Adopt-A-Senior donations which make meals possible for these seniors.
