Categories: Environmental Services: Land, Waste, and Cleanup; Sanitation & Recycling: Recycling Services; Sanitation & Recycling: Trash Collection
Description
The Solid Resources Fee covers, among other expenses, costs related to the collection, transfer, recycling, recovery and/or disposal of solid waste collected by the City of Los Angeles. All single-family homes and duplexes (1 or 2 units) are charged SRF, as are multi-family dwellings (3 or more attached units) subject to the Bureau of Sanitation collection services. The standard container allowance for household refuse is one 60-gallon black refuse container per residential unit; one 90-gallon blue recycling container per unit; and one 90-gallon green yard-trimming container per lot. Multi-family dwellings receive one 90-gallon blue recycling container for every 4 units. Additional containers are available for households that generate more waste than fits into their allotted containers for an additional fee. For more information see: Extra Capacity Containers.
