Description
The Office of Discrimination Complaint Resolution (ODCR) addresses employment discrimination complaints filed by employees of the City of Los Angeles or by applicants for employment with the City. Individuals contact ODCR for review, investigation and resolution of complaints for EEO discrimination, e.g., age,AIDS/HIV, ancestry, race, color, creed, religion, retaliation, sex, sexual orientation and sexual harassment. ODCR is a division of the Personnel Department, and its staff investigates complaints on behalf of the Civil Service Commission. ODCR's goal is to quickly and efficiently resolve issues of employment discrimination.ODCR staff handles each case based on the specific issues in the complaint and unique needs of the individuals involved, utilizing informal resolution techniques, mediation, and formal investigations where needed.
