The following crime reports can be taken telephonically by calling the nearest area community police station: Annoying/lewd/obscene phone calls, attempt burglary from motor vehicle (BFMV), attempt dishonest employee, attempt grand theft auto (GTA), attempt pickpocket, attempt plain theft,; attempt pursesnatch, attempt shoplift, attempt theft from motor vehicle (TFMV), attempt theft from person, attempt theft from phone, attempt till tap did not touch employee (under $400 is petty/over $400 is grand theft), battery(misdemeanor), burglary from motor vehicle (under $3000), bomb scare, bunco (under $400 petty/over $400 grand), defrauding the inn keeper ($400 or less), dishonest employee (under $400 petty/over $400 grand), embezzlement (under $400 petty/over $400 grand), illegal dumping (not in progress, no hazardous waste), indecent exposure (no suspects at scene), lost property (no guns, value under $3000), objects thrown at moving vehicles, pickpocket/pickpurse, plain theft (under $400 petty/over $400 & under $3000 grand), pursesnatch, shoplift (under $400 petty/over $400 grand), stolen vehicle (registered owner only), theft from motor vehicle (TFMV, includes stolen license plates), theft from person, theft from coin, threatening phone calls, till tap (under $400 petty/over $400 grand), trespass, vandalism (misdemeanor under $3000), vandalism (felony over $3000 less than $5000) The following reports can not be taken telephonically: Robbery, recovered vehicles (found stolen cars), extortion, shots fired, prowler complaints, arson, sex crimes, homicides, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary at a house/business, forgery, stolen guns
