To report a recurring drainage problem, standing water, stagnant water, street drainage, storm drain, catch basin, ponding waste, standing water, flood, sump, or gutter problems you may contact a Bureau of Engineering District Office. Depending on the location of the complaint, the proper district office should be contacted (http://navigatela.lacity.org/common/mapgallery/engineering_districts.html). To report a drainage problem that is caused by trash accumulation at a catch basin or other blockage, please contact the Bureau of Sanitation at 800-773-CITY (2489). FOR WEST NILE VIRUS COMPLAINTS OF STANDING WATER, PONDING WATER, OR STAGNANT WATER, PLEASE CONTACT THE PUBLIC WORKS BUREAU OF STREET SERVICES AT 800-996- CITY (2489). THIS SERVICE IS ONLY FOR INCIDENTS REPORTED ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY, STREETS, AND ALLEYS. FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY, REPORTS OF VIRUS-INFECTED DEAD BIRDS, OR QUESTIONS REGARDING THE WEST NILE VIRUS, PLEASE CONTACT THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AT (213) 240-7941.
