Description
The Department on Disability provides information and referral services for children and adults with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. Constituent callers are connected to Information and Referral Specialists who conduct a needs assessment for the immediate crisis and underlying barriers limiting access to critical resources. The process continues with facilitating self-direction to encourage public awareness and understanding of city, county, state, federal and community-based organizations, legal and human service systems, and how to determine eligibility for services. Walk-in services are also available at DOD.
