The Encino Park is located one block west of Balboa Blvd. and includes a basketball court, two tennis courts, a modern children's play area, picnic tables, barbeques, and the new Tricycle and Wheelchair Track. Be sure to stop by for a test drive. The park houses the Encino Parent Co-op Nursery (818.788.4582) and the Traditional Music Society (818.817.7756) through the Department of Cultural Affairs. Our facility also includes the Encino Woman’s Club. We are currently not accepting reservations for private engagements due to renovation.
Friends of Encino Park is a non-profit 501c(3) organization that is able to offer wonderful sponsorship opportunities for businesses and great fundraising events to help enhance the Encino Community Center and Encino Park. Their current project is to raise funds for the improvement of the stage lighting at the Community Center, which will enhance center programs, such as drama productions, dance shows, and class presentations.
Our Winter Class Brochure will be mailed out soon. Please check back or call 818.995.1690 for more information and to be added to our mailing list. You can also view the classes on the Online Activity Catalog at this time. Classes run 10 weeks, unless otherwise stated. No enrollment or transfers after January 24, 2009. Students must meet class age requirements by the beginning date of the session. Staff reserves the right to require proof of age at any time. Online registration for Winter Classes is December 4 - 7, 2008; only credit cards can be used online. Walk-in registration will start on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the Encino Community Center auditorium.
