Swimming and other forms of water contact are prohibited.
Lake Balboa is filled with water reclaimed from domestic use. The
water is mechanically and chemically treated before release into
the lake. The water makes its way through the lake before discharge
into the Los Angeles River Channel.
Section 63.44M of the Municipal Code prohibits the feeding of water
fowl and the releasing of domesticated animals on park property.
