Elysian Heights Elementary Visit Council
Students from Elysian Height Elementary got to take a look into how the City Council operates on April 2nd, 2004.

Inclusionary Zoning Press Conference
On April 6th, 2004, Councilmember Garcetti and other city officials held a press conference to announce that they would be pursuing a policy of affordable housing throughout the City of Los Angeles. Councilmember Garcetti heads up the city's Inclusionary Zoning effort, which will make housing more affordable to low-income families.

Opening Day at NE Little League
Spring is in the air as Northeast Little League prepares to kick off another wonderful season of baseball. On March 27, 2004, Councilmember Garcetti helped to open up the season by throwing out the inaugural first pitch.

Glassell Park Neighborhood Walk
On one of his many Neighborhood Walks, Councilmember Garcetti visits with the citizens of Glassell Park on April 3, 2004 to discuss community issues and hear suggestions from neighbors on what Council District 13 can do to improve the area.

Ceasar Chavez Day 2004
Councilmember Garcetti joined workers as they marched through Los Angeles on March 31, 2004 to celebrate the life of Ceasar Chavez and the great strides he made for workers from all walks of life.

Heroes' Luncheon
City workers keep Los Angeles running, and allow us to provide services to our community! We held a celebration for our unsung CD13 heroes on November 20, 2003.

Glassell Park Hosts City Council
On October 29, 2003, Washington Irving Middle School hosted it's very own Council meeting.

Lake Street Park Groundbreaking
On April 23, 2003, Council District 13 and the Temple-Beverly Community broke ground for construction of Lake Street Park! The park will be complete as of August 19, 2004.
