Commissioner Ramon Muñiz is a 45 year resident of the City of Los Angeles. A product of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Mr. Muñiz graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge. Currently serving as the Coordinator of the Partnership Program for the Educational Opportunity Program at California State University, Northridge, Mr. Muñiz has 25 years of professional experience in higher education. An active member of the community, Mr. Muñiz serves on various boards and organizations including the Los Angeles Mexican American Conservancy, 1st Council District Human Relations Committee, the South Cost EOP/S Consortium, Friends of Rigoberta Menchu, National Association of Chicano Studies, the CSUN La Raza Alumni Association, and the Muñiz Family Foundation.
