HOMEBUYER EDUCATION PROVIDERS

All applicants applying for Soft Second Program funds are required to complete at least eight (8) hours of homebuyer education from one of LAHD's approved providers (below). NOTE: Mortgage Revenue Bond and "Extra Credit" Program participants are not required to attend these seminars.

A one percent (1%) down payment/investment is acceptable for all Soft Second Programs if the homebuyer attends a twelve (12) hour homebuyer education seminar currently only offered by L.A. Neighborhood Housing Services and West Angeles Community Development Corporation. Otherwise a minimum of three percent (3%) of the sales price from your own funds is required to be invested in your home purchase.
