The Bureau of Sanitation develops a near and long term planning for water resources. The existing 2020 plan is called Integrated Resources Plan (IRP). It consists of projects and policy directions on wastewater, water conservation, stormwater and recycled water programs, such as sewer projects, advanced water treatment at reclamation plants, graywater systems, dual plumbing, rain barrels, smart irrigation waterless urinals, drought tolerant planting principles, porous pavements, etc. We keep stakeholders engaged through a variety of methods including public outreach and education.
