Board of IT Commissioners

Sec. 22.646. of the Administrative Code creates the Board of Information Technology Commissioners (“Board”). The Board is comprised of five members. The Board is appointed, removed and organized in accordance with Charter Sections 501-503.

Board members:

  • Study and make recommendations to the Mayor and the City Council on issues of community-wide interest relating to cable and telecommunications franchise, including cable television access, technology access, and regulatory issues within the City’s authority.
  • Conduct hearings and workshops and make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding cable and telecommunications franchises. 
  • Advocate, solicit, and facilitate citizen participation in cable television and telecommunications franchise decision-making.
