An Emergency Management Committee (EMC) forms the working
arm or staff of the EOB. All City departments, and other
governmental and private agencies are encouraged to participate
in EMC activities. The EMC, and its many subcommittees,
serve as a vehicle for the development of interdepartmental
plans and training programs to promote the City's integrated
disaster response and recovery efforts. The Assistant General
Manager of the Emergency Management Department (EMD) chairs
the EMC.
EMC meetings are normally held at 9:00 a.m. on the first
Wednesday of each month in the EOB Meeting Room, P-4 Level,
City Hall East. EMC meetings are open to any government
and private sector group or individual involved with Emergency Management. For more information about the EMC or its
