Programs
There is a wide variety of senior citizen services in the Southern California
region to choose from. Many of these services are provided by private
organizations, while others are provided by public service organizations. We
have listed a few of these services and organizations below to give you an
idea of what is available. If you do not see the type of service you are looking
for, then call one of the information and referral numbers listed, or call the
multipurpose center in your area.
Information and Assistance (I&A)
The Department provides telephone Information and Assistance services to
seniors requesting information about available community resources and/or
referral to a particular service program or agency. For information and/or

number 213-252-4030.
Multilingual I&A
Multilingual Information and Assistance services are provided in several
languages for seniors in the City of Los Angeles. The multilingual specialists
speak Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Various sites
are located throughout the city to assist older persons.
