Cecilia Cabello
Legislative Deputy

Cecilia is Council President Garcettis primary deputy for City Council meetings and serves as his chief liaison to Councilmembers and their staff for setting Council meeting agendas. She also assists Council President Garcetti in his role as Chair of the Councils Rules and Government Committee.

Cecilia helps Council President Garcetti with a wide range of policy initiatives, including those related to immigration, domestic violence, gender issues, the Latino community, human trafficking, the LGBTQI community, election reform, day labor, and international diplomacy.

Prior to joining Council President Garcetti's team in 2005, Cecilia served as Chief Political Advisor to the Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles, and was Special Projects Manager for Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis.

A native Angeleno, Cecilia is a graduate of Columbia University in New York where she lived for nine years. She has been a happy resident of Echo Park in Council District 13 since 2002.
