LOS ANGELES- Councilmember Bill Rosendahl joined community members and city officials to celebrate the installation and activation of a left-turn signal at the busy intersection of Kenter Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.
“I am pleased to announce the completion of a very important project in Brentwood,” Rosendahl said. “This left-turn signal will provide much-needed relief for drivers and residents.”
The project, which is one of many to be completed as part of Rosendahl's Westside Anti-Gridlock Plan, is expected to improve traffic flow and public safety.
Traffic engineering studies revealed that motorists heading southbound on Kenter Avenue experienced longer than normal delays when attempting to make left turns at Sunset Boulevard. The delays created a traffic bottleneck within the residential community.
Last December, Rosendahl unveiled his Westside Anti-Gridlock Plan, a comprehensive traffic plan that included short-term and long-term projects to relieve traffic congestion and promote mass transit on the Westside.
The plan called for a coordinated, comprehensive transportation strategy, improved transportation infrastructure, and tangible, relatively quick improvements, such as left-turn signals.
