Nate is responsible for all of Councilmember Rosendahl's media relations. He works closely with reporters, editors, and camera crews, to deliver prompt and accurate accounts of developments in City Hall and the Eleventh District as well as manage the design and content of the CD11 website. Nate also conducts policy research and analysis on myriad issues before the City Council. He prepares briefings for and staffs Councilmember Rosendahl in meetings of the City Council.
Nate attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and
graduated with a degree in political science. As
a student, he had the good fortune to travel to every
continent except Antartica where he experienced and
interacted with various cultures. Upon graduation,
Nate returned to his native state of Massachusetts
to pursue his passion for politics. He served
as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts State Senate
before taking a position as a probation officer at
Boston Juvenile Court. At the age of 24, Nate
ran for the office of state representative in his Central
Massachusetts hometown. He became the youngest
candidate in that district's history to receive the
Democratic Party nomination, and his campaign earned
the endorsements of several socially progressive and
environmental organizations.
After moving to Venice in 2007, Nate got his first
taste of Los Angeles working for a talent agency before
returning to politics. In his free time, Nate
enjoys surfing, skiing, baseball, golfing, weightlifting
and traveling.
