Jim is responsible
for handling constituent issues regarding the delivery
of city services.
Jim is a longtime West LA resident.
He is married to artist Channa Horwitz and he has 6
children and 8 grandchildren. Jim’s many accomplishments
include serving in the US Army during the Korean War,
graduating from UCLA, and for 57 years he has owned
and operated a plumbing and electrical sales businesses.
Jim is also an associate of FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy
in Reporting) and a former member of KPFK’s advisory
board. He has written weekly columns in community newspapers
in the San Fernando Valley, the LA FreePress, the LA
Vanguard, and published a bi-weekly newsletter titled
“Between The Lines.” Jim ran for Congress
in 1968 and Assembly in 1970. |
