Education & After School Programs

By investing time in a young person's personal growth and development whether your child by birth or by caring and engaging them in meaningful activities, we give more than lip service to the saying that "children [and youth] are our most precious resource". Here are links to some of the services available to children and youth and their parents that focus on learning and skills-building for the 24-and-under age group.

Los Angeles Youth Opportunity Movement
The Los Angeles Youth Opportunity Movement promotes youth acheivement by working with families and community partners to create opportunites helping young people to reach their education, employment, and personal development goals.

L.A.'s BEST

This after school enrichment and recreational program provides a safe haven for children, ages 5 to 12, at 180 elementary school sites each day during the critical hours after school — at no cost to parents.

Neighborhood Action Programs (NAPs)

If you are searching for positive activities for youth, help in dealing with your teenager or services for persons with special needs, try looking at our Neighborhood Action Program services.

Youth & Family Centers (YFCs)

YFCs offer a wide range of educational services, from homework assistance and computer access to completing a high school diploma or passing the GED.
