Individualized services are provided to youth to encourage positive behavior, academic learning and keep them away from gangs. Safe
Passages Program
One part of the L.A. Bridges program, Safe Passages, allows
students to concentrate on learning by providing them with safe
routes to and from school. Safe Passages creates a visible adult
presence with trained volunteers near the middle school campus.
L.A. Bridges staff works with community residents and local
business owners along the route to identify problem areas, or
"hot spots", and the best routes for students.
