Gang Intervention Services
L.A. Bridges Gang Intervention Services restore peace when gang-related crises arise. Approximately 40 gang intervention workers respond to gang-related conflicts and develop peace initiatives throughout the City of Los Angeles. Gang intervention workers also refer gang members who want to turn their lives around to jobs, education, and training. Services provided by L.A. Bridges Gang Intervention community-based organizations include:
- Development
and maintenance of peace agreements
- Crisis
response to gang-related incidents
- Court
required community service
- Referrals for educational, employment and skills training opportunities
- Referral
for support services (such as tattoo removal or having a criminal
record expunged)
- Individual and Group Counseling
- Anger Management
- Conflict Resolution
