Family Development Network Locations

The supportive services offered by Family Development Networks are intended to help low-income families and individuals get past the roadblocks that prevent them from leaving poverty and having enough money to take care of their own needs (and some of their wants) and those of their families. FDN services are family centered and try to deal with all of a family's needs over a long term period of support. Trained professional staff called case managers work with the family (or individual) to be sure the family is connected to all the services needed to achieve, maintain or increase economic security, mainly through employment. Attention is given also to improving how family members relate to one another and helping parents develop or strengthen the skills they need to grow healthy, well-rounded children.

Major service categories include:

  • Case Management
  • Child care and childhood development
  • Legal
  • Medical and mental health
  • Mentoring and other programs for youth
  • Youth Advocacy Program, services for first time youthful offenders
  • Individual, group, and/or family counseling
