Description
The Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program's objectives are to ensure the health and safety of the public and the environment, while protecting the wastewater treatment plants, including the byproducts of treatment: biosolids and recycled water. The Bureau of Sanitation (BOS), Industrial Waste Management Division offers assistance to any potential user of the sewer system to learn more about their responsibilities and how to apply for an industrial wastewater permit. BOS administers the US EPA-approved Pretreatment Program in accordance with the City's Industrial Waste Control Ordinance.
