Description
Many types of business operations require a Fire Permit. The Office of Finance is responsible for collecting the original permit fee and renewal fee for certain Division 4 Fire Permits. The inspection and regulation is the responsibility of the Fire Department's Fire Prevention Bureau. These permits and inspections are necessary to ensure the general safety of the public. Division 4 Fire Permits are renewed annually; they become due on November 1st and become delinquent after December 31st of each year. If payment is not received by December 31st, a 50% penalty will be added to the renewal fee. A new Fire permit is mailed each year after the permit has been properly renewed. The Fire Permits are white with a red border.
