Description
The Department of Building and Safety is responsible for construction permit inspections within the City of Los Angeles. Depending on the type of work being performed and the type of building, you may have one or multiple inspections. Inspectors will inspect different trades such as building, plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) work. You can schedule an inspection by contacting the 311 Call Center OR by using our Automated Inspection Request System (AIRS) available 7 days a week by calling (888)524-2845 and pressing #1 OR through the Internet Request for Inspection System (IRFIS). Both AIRS and IRFIS services allow inspection to be scheduled for the next business day before 4:00 p.m.
