The Business and Trade Development Division of the Port of Los Angeles (Harbor Department) provides advice to businesses and individuals involved in the import/export of cargo, i.e. goods and materials, through the Port of Los Angeles. Assistance may include general information concerning required documentation, carriers calling at the Port and types of facilities or terminals that are available. Specialists are also available to answer inquiries for those businesses interested in using the Port's Foreign-Trade Zone 202. Trade Connect is an export education program created by the Port of Los Angeles and designed for small and medium-sized businesses to learn the fundamentals of shipping internationally and identifying overseas markets. Workshops occur throughout the year.
