Nestled in the heart of the San Fernando Valley away from a world of freeway traffic, lies an oasis - 61/2 acre garden which features three gardens in one. The Japanese garden shares it's address with the Tillman Water Reclamation plant.

The Japanese Garden was designed by Dr. Koichi Kawana, a noted international award winning Japanese Garden designer. Enter through a dry Zen meditation garden containing Tortoise Island, a three buddha arrangement of stones and a wisteria arbor.

Next along the path is an expansive chisen, or "wet-strolling" garden with waterfalls, lakes and streams, abundant greenery and stone lanterns which were carved by artisans in Japan. At the end of this path is the Shoin Building with an authentic 41/2 tatami mat teahouse and adjacent tea garden.

Finally, we hope the uniqueness of the Japanese Garden will afford you a peaceful and enjoyable visit.
