The City of Los Angeles, Department of Public Works has expanded its existing Bulky Item Collection Program to include residents of apartments with 5 or more units per building.  Tenants and property owners of such apartments may now call the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Sanitation Customer Service Center at 1 800 773-CITY (2489) or 311 to schedule a collection date for disposal of their bulky items, which would then be collected by the Bureau.  The Multi-Family Bulky Item Fee (BIF) rates, as of October 1, 2007, are $0.64/month and $1.11/month per unit for master-metered apartments.   ORD 179,070 (Adopted 8-13-07, Eff. 9-16-07).
