Project Description: The Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks proposes the 109th Street Pool and Bathhouse Replacement Project (project) at the existing pool and bathhouse located at 1500 E. 109th Street, Los Angeles. The project would consist of the demolition of the existing swimming pool and bathhouse, and construction of a new 45-by-75-foot swimming pool, and a new 3,500-square-foot, one-story bathhouse. The new facilities would be constructed within the general footprint of the existing pool and bathhouse. The bathhouse would include an administrative area with space for the aquatic staff, a first aid room, a staff restroom with shower, a storage area, changing rooms, showers, restrooms, and a pump room. The project would also include construction of a concrete swimming pool deck, which would be continuous with concrete surfaces in the playground and baseball field, construction of fencing surrounding the swimming pool deck, and construction of a splash pad with spraying or shooting water north of the swimming pool.

Environmental Factors Potentially Affected: Aesthetics, Air Quality, Cultural Resources, Geology and Soils, Noise, Recreation, and other Mandatory Findings of Significance.
