Community Outreach 

A series of community meetings were held as a means to inform and involve the public and promote a cooperative relationship with stakeholders in the community.

29 In-depth interviews and Focus Groups and 2 Town hall style meetings were conducted with groups that included:

• Community at Large
• Education Community
• Business Community
• Neighboring Municipalities

In order to create and implement effective programs, the Information Technology Agency (ITA) leads a Working Group through the planning phase of the LA WiFi initiative to ensure the process is inclusive and accessible.

The LA WiFi Working Group consisted of an Executive Policy Group (Mayor and Council), a City Resource Team (internal stakeholders), and Advisory Focus Groups (external stakeholders) from a wide range of areas including neighborhoods and community, business and economic development, technology, organized labor, regional municipal coordination, digital inclusion and education.
