Solid Waste NOTIFICATION Tier
Green Material Composting Operation as defined in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 14, Section 17402.(v) includes sites which have up to 1,000 cubic yards of feedstock and active compost on-site at any one time. Feedstock includes any plant material that is either separated at the point of generation or at a centralized facility and can include manure, untreated wood wastes, paper products, and natural fiber.
Agricultural Material Composting Operation as defined in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 14, Section 17852.(f) includes sites that process green and animal materials derived from agricultural commodities.
Research Composting Operation as defined in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 14, Section 17402.(ff) includes not-for-profit operation with not more than 2,500 cubic yards of compost feedstock and active compost on site at any one time.
Contaminated Soil Transfer/Processing Operation as defined in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 14, Section 17361.(c) includes sites that handle only contaminated soil for treatment, storage, or transfer and does not include disposal or using the soil as a raw material in making a finished product distinct from soil.
Limited Volume Transfer Operations as defined in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 14, Section 17402.(a) includes sites which receive 60 cubic yards or less of solid waste on any operating day.
