The Department of Water and Power welcomes the opportunity to answer any questions you have regarding your billing statemnet. Our billing statements are based on meter readings obtained by our meter reading personnel. Meters are read bimonthly for residential customers, and monthly for business customers. As fluctuations in weather occur throughout the year, it is normal for your DWP bill to increase or decrease. Appliances that can have a significant impact on seasonal changes to your bill include air conditioning units, heating appliances, swimming pool pumps, holiday lighting, and landscape irrigation. DWP can provide you with information on energy and water conservatiion to help keep your utility costs down. When you do incur a higher-than-normal bill and experience difficulty in paying it by the due date,please call the DWP Customer Contact Center at 800-DIAL-DWP to work out a more convenient payment arrangement. Our center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
