Description
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles owns and manages 14 large family public housing developments throughout Los Angeles and 2 additional sites are under private ownership/management. Stretching from San Pedro to San Fernando Valley and from Mar Vista to East Los Angeles, there are also two smaller sites for seniors (62 years +) and/or adult disabled residents. Overall, there are over 6,900 units of public housing in the City of Los Angeles. Tenant rent is based on a percentage of adjusted monthly income (usually 30%).
