Description
Report ringing or activated burglar alarms for business, residence or vehicles.
New rules are now in effect concerning residential and business burglar alarms. All alarm users must have a valid permit. The LAPD will only respond to two unverified calls per 12-month period. If it turns out to be a false alarm, the resident/business owner will be fined $136 for the first offense and $50 more for each additional offense. If there is a false alarm and there is no permit, there will be an additional $100 fine. Persons can have their record cleared by attending "alarm school."
