Description
In recognition of the City of Los Angeles' commitment to expanding equal opportunities and providing the full extent of municipal services to persons with disabilities. The Department and Commission work jointly to respond to critical needs and concerns of this population. The Comission advocates for the community of persons with disabilities and serves in an advocacy capacity to the Department. The Commission holds public meetings/ hearings on critical issues, identifies priority issues to be addressed, and makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council. Commission meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month.
