The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium promotes awareness and knowledge of the rich marine life of Southern California through award winning exhibits, programs, and research. Housed in a facility that is fully accessible and designed by noted architect Frank Gehry, the Aquarium has 25,000 gallons of sea water circulating through 35 aquaria, an outdoor touch tank, sea water laboratories, an Aquatic Nursery and an Exploration Center.
