This five-globe Llewellyn was originally installed on all streets in Downtown Los Angeles (c.1900).  The photo on the left shows the Llewellyn still in service near City Hall in the early 1950's.  The photo on the right shows how the last of these poles are being used as architectural features in the gardens and malls adjacent to City Hall.
